What is this? Viz big editions? Hopefully news will come out at Viz's panel tommorow

I'll definitely be getting these. Gives me an excuse to finally start the series. In manga form. Hopefully they continue with these all the way to the speed up, but they may not want to cannibalize sales
 
I doubt these will be omnibus editions. They'll most likely be the original volumes in packs of three, something VIZ has done with other series.
 
I'm guessing these are VIZBIG Editions? I don't need to get any of these yet, but if they do the same with the newest volumes around the same time, I'll get those.
 
...I'm...not sure. I don't see an MSRP listed and their price is cheaper than other VIZBIG's MSRP. They seem to be what with being 'three for the price of two'.


I don't think I'll be picking these up, though. Maybe if they use the proper terms...
 
I'm thinking firecrouch is right. If they were going to do a Viz Big release for an ongoing series, you'd think they would do it for Naruto first since it's their top seller.
 
Then again, the singles apparently push so much, they can afford to wait before throwing out a release which would essentially eliminate the need for the singles.
 
A one piece VB would be nice, might give me reason to start the series, Personally I would love to see Viz start VB editions for Dr.Slump & Inuyasha eventually as well. (& Case closed but i know that probably won't happen anytime soon..But it would be nice.)

I eagerly await to see what this is!
 
Well color me red....I had no Idea..But thats great news!

Also I wonder since it say's east blue instead of vizbig, mabye thy'll just be 3 in 1's that are regualar digest size, like the Tokyopop Sgt. Frog 3 in 1. Either way I will probably pick them up. I do enjoy the 1st few volumes of one Piece so seeing the earlier issues alltogether would be great!
 
Personally I think thats just the quality of the Paper Tokyopop uses in general, nothing against the company, but the pages & the covers of Tokyopop manga seem to age & Wear alot faster then other companies for example, I used to take my DBZ & Kingdom Hearts manga to school all the time, both in the same bag & treated the same, My KH manga has alot more wear then my DBZ mangas (wich still look Near mint) I think its because the Tokyopop covers arn't as thick as Say Viz's or Delray's. same for there paper it feels slightly diffrent as well..This isn't a super big deal for me though since theres only about 3 tokyopop series i collect. but i must say its rather annoying!

Back on Topic..I hope its not 3 in a box...I'd rather them do what they did with Bleach,naruto,etc & just release the 1st half in a boxset. (if they havn't already that is.) I hope it is either Vizbig or a 3 in 1 digest of some kind.
