It has been on the Nokia UK and Europe sites for a while, but just appeared at NokiaUSA this morning.

I made the mistake of downloading the new software without keeping a copy of the old software. It simply will not back up my messages and calendar. I have re-run the program in the repair mode but I still only get a partial backup. Any suggestions?

I've used all functions without any problem (didn't try to flash it, but it did detect my phone). The backup/restore has a nice new face to it.

install went well but the software does not recognize my N95
everytime I click on the modules in the software, it says operation failed
the nokia is connected via usb cable and the drivers are installed fine

For me:

- 6.82 worked and synced fine on Vista with my E50, except that backups stalled and failed
- 6.83 on Vista snycs, but with the strange quirk that EVERY time I plug in my phone to the USB cable it installs the Vista drivers for the phone. Every single time, which adds to the set up time for each sync.

I would be inclined to say this was a Nokia issue but 6.82 worked just fine for me on XP and so I thik Vista is the issue here.

Maybe not - I still use XP and PC Suite 6.83 was a nightmare, as you described it. I uninstalled 6.83 and reverted to 6.82 which works fine.
