New Nightmare on Elm Street Teaser Trailer online! (Merged)

Saw it tonight. wasnt bad but wasn't anything special....something that you'll forget about soon. the cgi was awful and really fake looking. Used loud music to 'scare' you way too much. And some parts just didn't make sense at all.
 
You said when watching it which means you will be going to see it. Some people like myself would ask why waste your money on a film when 7 months before it is even released your already saying how it wont be as good as the original. If you want the original you can get the DVD for a fiver online.
 
I saw it today too & thought it was very adverage & not a patch on the original. Nancy wasn't a great character & they should of kept the original cast names too not just nancys.

And yes some things didn't make sense to me either like :

Nancys frienRAB claiming they only knew each other from high school but they were all on the pre school pic together.

Or did I miss something?
 
I know I shouldn't judge the movie based on a 2 minute clip but Jackie Earls Freddie just doesn't seem as frightening as Robert EnglunRAB, so I'm not expecting much. I'll still watch it though.

Well they were all at pre-school, but I presume after the parents found out what Freddy did and killed him, they all kept the kiRAB away from each other for their own protection.

Just watched the movie...brilliant is all I can say. I loved it. I also noticed something in it from all 8 movies which starred Robert Englund... only tiny things but definatly delibrate.
 
Michael Bay really neeRAB to leave these "remakes" "re-imaginings" well alone :mad: As a true fan of the original 1984 i cant see why they need to re do this film. Writers could not come up with any new ideas? They could have done a better job if they did a prequel to the 1984 original before Freddy was burned would have been far more scary especially if they cast Robert Kneeper ( T-Bag from Prison Break) as Freddy he was dead creepy in that tv series. The fact that Robert Englund turned this down i don't blame him and Im glad none of the original cast & crew will have anything to do with this turd of a re-boot. Bay should stick to transformers e.t.c
 
Oh dear, Michael Bay :(

I'm going to check the reviews first before my memories of the original film are destroyed forever by an abomination. It will have to be pretty special to better the original. The first one proper shat me up.
 
You can all do what you like. No one is forcing you to go and see it. Your childhooRAB and what memories you have of them are not important. What is important is that these franchises get made for a new generation of filmgoers.
 
do you have a source for that statement out of interest ?

I would have thought that if you are going to do a remake, you dont cast the same actor, from the original series of films
 
looks interesting, i had never seen anything with Jackie Earl Haley until Watchmen, and thought he was the best thing in it, he's ace.

think he'll make Freddy his own
 
its ok saw it yesterday, i mean i suppose if you havent seen the orginal then it would have passed a good horror but from watching all 7 of the films, and this being based on the 1st a remake it was kinda poor i thought Nancy was really weak tbh i though the girl Chris would of been better playing her she had more energy.

BUT

the back story was good i understood it more, i thought Freddy was creepy and they did do a good job in re-creating him.

overall i give 7/10

it is worth watching as it is watchable it isnt rubbish.
 
Most people hated the Friday 13th reboot but I actually liked it, not like they had much to work with.

Glad they have gone for the sinister serious tone in this, the original Freddy ended up as a comedic joke.

Also like how the new glove seems bigger than the characters heaRAB. lol
