New n85 nam firmware is out!

I had updated the firmware on my N87 earlier by changing to the Latin American general product code. I switched back to US but noticed that NSU doesn't offer the "reinstall" option, though it did on my N97. Has anyone else noticed this? It's no big deal, but ideally I would prefer the NAM version of the firmware.
 
^See, i'm scared of that! Also I read somewhere that the caller ID pic doesn't work anymore in this new firmware!

I am having problems with that camera. If I hold the phone horizontally the camera is fine, but if I turn it vertically (regardless which way) the camera completely fcuks up. The pictures are fine, but the screen show 4 sections with a ton of vertical lines running though. I'll post a picture later. Does this happen to anyone else?
 
finally gave up on the "Device Recovery" just restarted the phone,NSU and started from scratch. Funny thing is that when i went back into NSU it said i had the new firmware v30, And i haven't even completed the update!?
 
:confused: Mine did the samething and I tried three times, but I checked the device manager and it says V30 firmware but the phone seems a little off, when it starts up half of the screen is the home screen and the rest is white and after a few seconds it is fine but it takes 30 seconds or more to get the network up, called Nokia and they were totally no help at all, I finally got fed up with their BS and hung up!!! Do not know what is up but something is!!! :rolleyes:
 
That was pretty smooth and uneventful. Polished up the Downsload icon with a new look, plus a downloading animation. Front screen now has added email notification, internet phone and IM messaging for contracts.
 
Hey quick question, I changed my product code a while back to get the v30 update. Now that the official NAM one is out I wanna go back and just do that but unfortunately I don't know the exact product code, can someone just tell me it real quick?

Also how did you guys change your product code cause the way I did it was tedious and I'm sure theres a quicker way.
 
yes i get that for a sec-it's like a greyish tint to above. so if u unlock ur phone, on bottom has a regular black box saying 'phone unlocked' while everything else has grey tint. i think that's normal to emphasize the dialog box.
 
Maybe we should start a new thread on V30 problems and then after we see all of the replys we all need to call Nokia and raise some HECK with them, maybe if they get a hundred or so calls all at once they will look into it and fix it!!!Does not hurt to try!!!
