New n85 nam firmware is out!

Thank you, I hope they let me transfer it to this phone. Yes it was a real pain doing it and now the phone crashes at times, just freezes up and I have to remove the battery. I hope the N86 is released before the 30 days is up on this because it will go back to Amazon and I will have the N86!!!! :2thumbs: As for the hard reset I finally got the three finger to work I just have to hold the three keys until after the Hand shake screen and then it works. :2thumbs:

Start facing up and flip over. Works pretty well. I got used to doing the reverse with flipsilent but that doesn't work on the n85.

I do miss the deactivate alarm feature that was on the N95.

i only have 50.9mb on my c drive and i have v30. is it because i just downloaded 15 ngage games? i downloaded all of them to the memory card but does it leave some info on the phone regardless? i've gone into file manager but i don't see anything i can delete to get up to 76.6mb. any thoughts?

thanks.

I just checked navifirm and there is a v30.101 and a v30.19 (no mention of v30.019... is v30.019 = v30.19?)
anyways, my product code (0574476) is listed under v30.19 (before, nokia removed my product id from v30.019 but i snagged it before they did)

Sorry but I am not a cell whiz so I could not say, but I just checked the file manager again and I have 76.6 Mb free on the phone Memory. Maybe someone else might be able to help you.

Just a though, the Ngage maybe it because I do not use that because I do not care for Ngage and I deleated anything that has to do with Ngage from the phone.

NSU did the disconnect thing (retry/exit) with 20 seconds to go which was rather scary. Phone seems ok after rebooting a couple times though.

Sometime after v20, I haven't been able to run ovi maps. This didn't change after v30. I still get a not enough memory error. Haven't cared enough to investigate why.

I had a lot of trouble updating NSU itself. It kept freezing while installing.

Bare with me...I think there is a bug when you enter "last captured" via the multimedia button (the key between end and dpad). This is what i do and it always crashes on me. Maybe its just my phone, but i want to see if this happens to anyone else on the new fw.
Press: multimedia key>last captured>back (right soft)>back (right soft)>captured = always crashes to standby screen.

So any further thoughts on this update? I went overseas for the last couple weeks and used my n85 pretty extensively.
The browser still craps out when you close the slider
The wifi can no longer see my home network... I've had this issue with my windows computers from seeing my home network but same notebook can see and connect when running linux.
photos appeared more vibrant but still get the pretty severe soft glow on everything under bright conditions.
unsure about gps.. i was running maps 3.0 and it crapped out on me but all my photos were geotagged... even if the gps signal lock said it didn't have a connection (no internet because i was using cosmote prepaid and either the prepaid doesn't have any data or nokia's settings were incorrect)

Yeah, I did an OTA update and haven't noticed anything different. I should've noted it, but I think the update was only something like 2.1 megs... these oh-so-feature full updates is why I'm going to stick with Nokia and Symbian!

... sigh, hopefully the cooked rom community can come up with something (I'd help but it's way above my scope of coding/hardware abilities)

What's the firmware version now? With full skype now I want to switch between my 2 phones back and forth but unfortunately my new run uses a different 3G band from the N85 :(

So did they fix the browser bug and stuff?

No because when I got my Black N85 it was on V.11 and it went right to V.30 must have sat at Amazon for some time, but my firmware update went to 17 seconds and that was it, then lost connection to the phone, it had to be disconnected and it started again and froze at 17 seconds again, it did this three times and after that I just left it disconnected and device manager said V.30, this whole thing is messed up I just hope Nokia get's it crap together before I get my new N86!!!!!
