Dated Sept 18, 2006. You can grab it using Nokia 's Software Upgrader. Make sure you install the latest version as Nokia also upgraded the NSU as well (newest version is v.1.1.27) Grab it HERE

No changelog available so if users see anything different, please comment.
 
I think something is wrong because I get this message everytime I try. No Software updates available for your phone.

"Unable to read the software update package. Please try again later."

I have 5.0616.2.0.3 dated 24-04-06 RM-84

Anybody have any ideas?
 
i have the same fw dmx but i dont know if i will update for two reasons 1) dont an accident to happen and end up with a brick 2) havent heard of any improvements in new fw.
Soo to those that have new fw, anything noticeabley different with the new fw??
 
it goes by your product code from what I have been reading, and the assumption I'm coming to is that Nokia knows what products codes have what problems, and this is based on where its manufactured and so forth..so if you can't update odds are your phones in good shape.
 
Do you guys pull your sim cards out during these installs? Some say the firmware is dependant on your provider, well the N70 isn't a tmobile phone I don't know I can't update I've tried a hundred times, always says "Unable to read software update package" I guess I'm going to try another computer today.

New features
* Support for the AD-41 has been added in 5.0638.3.0.1. AD-41 provides remote control for Music Player and Radio functions. Note: the functionality of AD-41 with N70 is not identical to that of other products as the Music Player is different. (e.g. N73).
* In the Music Player main menu, the stop, next/ffwd, back/rwd keys have no response when a track is playing.
* In the Music Player sub menus, the play, stop, next/ffwd, back/rwd and volume keys have no response while a track is playing.
* In the Active Standby UI (i.e. when music is playing in the background), the volume control graphic is not updated when track volume changes are made using the AD-41 volume keys.
* AD-41 also has an integrated mic and provides call handling controls; accept incoming call, end call, voice dialling using SIND feature and in call volume control.
* New themes have been introduced with a new default theme for the Music Edition.
* In the Music Edition, the Music Access Key replaces the Multimedia Key (sometime called the operator key). This is not user configurable and locked to always give instant access to the Music Player application with a short press. A long press gives instant access to the Visual Radio application.

Improvements
* Week 19 of the Access Point Configurator (APC) is included in this build
* Bluetooth connectivity: N616 carkit IOP improvements.
