In recent years scientologists have taken offense to a number of media. A lot of people thought it was incredibly hypocritical that the voice of Chef on South Park didn't have any qualms with South Park cracking jokes about any other religion but he made a stink when they hit Scientology.
Also, there's a reason discussion of religion is limited here and your last comment there could be considered offensive to people who don't practice scientology. You know people don't tend to like it when you imply other religions are bunk. So we'll be discussing that no further.
Point is you don't seem to think that making jokes about religions is a problem and many people would agree with you but people have every right to believe what they want in America and what people told those film makers was not a big deal so can we give it a rest please?

And? it wasn't his religon so he didn't need to say anything but the biggest problem was that they're facts on scientology were incredibly wrong I mean with the other religons they're was a message in it but with the jokes pulled on scientology whatever message was they're was burried in offense words.

I don't know about you but "at least has ties to something that could happen" seemed to imply more than "it's the only one related to science" . Sounds more like "it's the only one that can happen". Maybe you should be more careful how you word things to avoid misunderstandings in the future.

So because issac dfended his religon he was a hypocrite? he didn't find it funny when south park mis reprsented scientology thy're jokes just weren't clever at all and because of that issac didn't find it funny I'm sure if they had tried too make it smart or reasearched he'd have laughed but they didn't.

Family Guy makes fun of EVERYONE. People expect that from them since that's the kind of show it is. In comparison, the last time Dreamworks tackled the Abrahamic religions was with the very well-researched and sensitive films Prince of Egypt and Joseph: King of Dreams, so for them to treat those religions with such respect but to not do the same for Hinduism makes them look biased at best.
And I'm now really curious how Scientology has ties to something that could happen moreso than other religions. What in it makes it more plausible? Is it the "this world is not real" concept? It's not exclusive to Scientology; Gnostic Christianity, many forms of Buddhism, and too a less dramatic extent Kabbalistic Judaism, at least, have similar concepts. And you don't have to pay for enlightenment in those religions, which seems a bit more honest.

Yeah because you really think all the money from those churches makes it to the church? not everyone's honest.cientologies tied to well science and the idea of aleins which seem more plausible than a dude in a beard with all knowing power.I respect they're religon and they're are alot of misconceptions out they're on scientology.And besides your saying that the other religons seem a bit more honest but when was the last time someone murdered a child or a preist from scientology molested a kid? scientology probally has the most clean bill of health compared to other religons.Of course not knocking every one who are in those religons but I'm pointing out the fact you really don't hear about scientology unless ssomeone has attacked them or insulted them.

Dude just stop, this is getting way off topic.
So a bollywood musical, it sounds interesting. Dreamworks has been doing really well with their films lately so I'm excited to hear more about it.
Except Athiests, but that's another story. :sweat:
Back on topic, I don't really know what to think about this project, especially since Dreamworks has so many other movies in the pipeline. Had this been proposed back when they were aparrently trying to be the anti-Disney, it probably wouldn't have made it past the planning stage. These days, however, Dreamworks has basically become what Disney was a decade ago, in regards to all their cash-grabs and endless sequels. That's not to say that I haven't enjoyed some of their recent movies - on the contrary, How To Train Your Dragon and Megamind were both great. But I'm still skeptical of their ability to put quality before quantity (of films and money).
