Cross-posted from main, where no one cares about music.

If anyone likes any of these songs particularly well, I can post a few more tracks from that artist.

Whitey - Stay On The Outside (electronic / rock)
I'm not sure who to compare this guy to. Vaguely similar to Beck and Moby, I suppose. Good beats. No video.

The Heavy - How You Like Me Now? ('neo-soul' / rock)
This a relatively new british band that's pretty fucking awesome. From their second album, The House That Dirt Built.

Joshua James - Coal War (folk / rock)
Don't know much about this kid, but he has a pretty good voice. The song is anthemic (with stomping, no less). I'm not fond of religious references, but I can get over it for a good song. No Video.

Vampire Weekend - Cousins (indie rock)
Retarded band name, but I dig the frenetic snare drum beating in this song. Haven't listened to much else by the band yet.

Pearl Jam - The Fixer (alt rock)
I haven't paid much attention to Pearl Jam the past few years, but I like this one.

Mute Math - Backfire ('post-rock' - I had to look that up)
Band sounRAB sort of like a straight up rock band with electronic accents. They had a pretty big hit with a song called 'Spotlight'. This is from a new album, Armistice. Comparable to Muse, I guess, though no one would mistake one for the other.

A3/Alabama 3 - Year Zero (folk/country?)
Alabama 3 is a British band (there are half a dozen members and none of them are from Alabama. Don't ask me). They call their style "Acid House Country," and it generally involves a lot of electro. This is an acoustic version of one of their songs, so I guess it's just country. The song is actually pretty old, but I've been listening to it recently, so it makes the playlist. I couldn't find a youtube video anywhere, so I made one myself, and youtube slaughtered the sound quality after the upload. I'll make a better one if anyone has any tips on how to prevent that.

William Elliott Whitmore - Midnight (folk/blues)
I just heard about this guy a few days ago. I started a whole thread about him in the main, because he's badass: http://forums.offtopic.com/showthread.php?t=4392824
