New Multi 1200 questions

I am not new to Ducati but have been away for awhile. The last one I owned was a early 999. It was a fabulous machine and sorry I sold it.

Lately I've been on a Harley Ultra as I'm 61 and needing a couch. The Harley is so heavy I sold it and bought a new Multi 1200 which I will receive in two weeks as they are hard to get I'm told.

Mine new ride is a basic no ABS model in red.

Question? How will this bike feel and ride?
How is the power compared to the 999?
General comments appreciated.

A few of the Aussies here have jumped on the Multi 1200 bandwagon.

Had a good ride on Markthebike's 1200 S: Immensely comfortable, agile for its size (feels smaller than it looks!), and they can embarass most sportbikes on any B-road.

Horsepower aside, the new 1200 engine has got to be Ducati's best effort yet; turbine smooth, huge fat torque everywhere, no dips glitches or harshness.

I doubt there's a quicker. more comfortable "point-to-point" bike on the planet.

No complaints here

I think you will find it has a few more ponies than the 999. You will love it I don't tend to ride any of my other bikes any more.

Not to be a pain,

but you must have asked this question before buying.

Did you test ride the bike before deciding to buy? Did your dealer had one?

Regarding the ride and feel...Depends on the rider ...and it all matters how does it ride and feel for you..

As far as trying the bike. No way to try one here in the middle of no where Montana. I haven't even seen one in person.

That's the way I do stuff tho. My friend who owns GP Motors in San Diego (many years old Ducati dealership) told me I need one. He said it is the funnest ride on the planet and I need to get one fast.

That's enough for me.
