the moto reps said it was ok to post this stuff.

ve240: bar phone. no camera. microSD support up to 4gb (not enough on board memory to access more than 4GB). stereo bluetooth. OTD price on new activation is $99.99 http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2008/08/04/motorola-ve240-hitting-an-american-carrier-near-you/

hint: slider phone with qwerty keyboard. looks VERY similar to the utstarcom blitz (http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2008/07/30/verizon-shows-blitz/) but is not the same phone (keyboard layout is slightly and features are different and moto rep assures me they are the oem not htc). features include camera (do not recall the MP or if it had video support, but in this class i'd assume 2+MP and yes), stereo bluetooth, microSDHC support up to 16GB. price is not finalized but expected to be in the 250-300 range. expected january-ish. sorry i did not take a picture of it so you'll have to take my word on it.

according to the reps i talked to both of these devices are NOT using the synergy platform, but it looked a lot like an upgraded version of synergy to me...

also coming in march-ish is a full touch device with slide out qwetry keyboard. it will be a feature phone (i.e. not a pda :( ) price will most likely be ~400ish

i was able to play with the first two, but the touch phone was not on hand.
 
I think it is called the krave on verizon and the blaze on whatever other carrier it is comming out on. But the phones I mentioned are coming to cricket. I did tell the moto rep I thought that phone (the krave) was pretty cool and there was no disagreement.
 
o.o i wonder if they will have AWS cause where i might be moving too will be only AWS D: so that will suck, all my phones that i have ;o; >_> i might have to sell them -.- sucks
 
I have the ve240 right now as an FUT phone, its decent for what it is. Screen sucks. Plays mp3's good. Reception seems to be top notch. I'm testing it until Monday, then get my ROKR back, can't wait lol...
 
yeah, at first when i got it i was like wtf is this garbage, then when they told me the price would be 99.99 OTD i started to war up to it. i mean think of what the alternative is at that price it knocks the socks off the nokia 1606 feature wise at the same price point.
 
Very True. Although the nokia is also currently $99 in my market, its honestly a nice little phone. Extremely bright screen and nice big buttons. It's a great alternative to the garbage K132. I really hope we drop Kyrocera all together, we have 3 Lingos left in stock and there end of life.
 
that nokia you like so much? NO BLUETOOTH!?!? r u kidding? the mms is nice and make it worth the extra $10 but without bluetooth the spex and 7126 are both better deals! The ve240 is pretty much going to impact the lineup big time...
 
also...from my rep and the core team, cricket will be releasing a mimic of the LG Lotus in Q1 2009 as well as talks of a blackberry running on cricket. from what i got from my people, the blackberry will only runBIS and will not be capable of BES. this could be good for future flashing of blackberries
 
well if you want a phone that works in aws markets...

also my reps ensure me that beyond this and the new data card there is currently nothing else on the horizon. even the touch screen phone moto is currently promoting to cricket has not been entered officially.
 
Phone seems okay, kinda looks like Q9m in a way i guess.
I dont like the way they fixed up the new CID today looks kinda crappy imo, and what the hell its the gift option? anyone know??
 
delays activation until deceraber 23rd. everything is paid for up front including activation etc.. but service is not activated until 12/23 (which is also when the billing for that line would begin).
 
the moto ve240 is a horrid fone. not much better than the samsung spex. screen is too small and looks like a calculator.
 
119.99 MAP pricing, but currently a $50 instant rebate... this is the same MAP pricing as the SPEX and 7126 but has a lot more features...
