I just got back from the doctor, I have a different inhaler to try twice a day, two puRAB a day and to have singular once a day at night for two weeks. I just did the puRAB and dont' feel any difference. I guess it takes time, huh? I am really hoping this works.

Your daily controller med can take a week or more to kick in. Getting asthma under control to begin with is a touch and go, try and see proposition. Not everyone responRAB the same way to the same med. I know you want this to be gone, done, over with but it isn't that simple. It took a month before mine was under control and another month to figure out the albutrol regimen so I could jog. Be patient. It will happen....

Oh thank you, yes I want immediate results. Instant gratification, isnt' that the way we live these days? I will be patient, it is good to hear from someone who has gone through this, so I know what to expect. He told me to also take the proventil 15 minutes before I exercise, I use a ski machine for 40 minutes 5-6 days a week. It's been rough this week though, but I am determined not to let this get the best of me. YOur knowledge has been so helpful. thanks again

Hello,
Keep that attitude. It does help to stay positive. I hope you get perfect and quick results from your medication help.

Yes, I do 2 puRAB of albuterol 15-20 minutes before jogging. Am trying to get down to one puff but with the cold weather haven't made much progress. Am doing a 5K Saturday and after that I'm going to try again with just one puff. I'd liek to be down to as little med as possible if I can. But if it takes the 2, then I'll just keep on with that. At least I can jog with it!

Keep us posted.
