New Jurassic Park Trilogy?

The baddie dinosaur in the second book was an 'invisible' camouflaged dino. Just think of the money they can save on CGI if they used it in a new movie.

why make it an island AGAIN!!!

JURASSIC WORLD *1/3*

ten years has passed, and the dinos numbers have ballooned, they are slowly changing the earth's atmosphere, and are totally out of control ..... taking over most of the entire south american continent!! and as desperate experts try to stop them crossing into north america, by building a massive "barrier" across the panama canal, someone is trying to release those animals who have been captured for the latest dino zoo in mexico.

meanwhile DR GRANT and his team are working on a project that could end all the dinosaurs, but are stopped by the man who wanted them back in the first place ..... and elderly but still lively JOHN HAMMOND ....., who tells DR GRANT that the barrier is being built. HAMMOND says that he still has some say in "GEN-WORLD", so dispatches GRANT to the barrier to oversee some dinos in the care of MR HESTON .....

as the barrier takes shape, they have miscalculated the timing of the arrival of the invading animals, so the chairman of the new company "GEN-WORLD" MR HESTON comes and tells them to move the pace, and as he oversees the construction, that "someone" tries to sabotage it!

CATHY BOWMAN is the one trying to stop the construction of the barrier, and is caught red handed, but MR HESTON has other plans for her. they discuss it in his office, but she is reluctant to trust him, so MR HESTON decides to show her his project, a group of controllable raptors!!! she is horrified at this, but her head is turned by a certain person working for MR HESTON ..... ALEXIS MURPHY!

and as the dinos head for the last big town on the south american continent, before reaching the barrier, ALEXIS, CATHY, DR GRANT and a team of soildiers try to save the remaining inhabitants ..... and themselves ..... from the oncoming dino assault. and as time runs out MR HESTON decides to make another "barrier" .....

also make the BOOKS into mini series too!

He said that it wouldn't be on the island.

I'm not too keen on your idea, partly because I see no reason why these same characters would still be involved, and I hate the idea of controllable raptors!

I'd like it if they went back to the original theme park idea. Would be great if they could do an alternate universe type thing, where the park actually opened to the public, but then obviously went wrong.

I would love to see more Jurassic Park movies made. There isn't any other franchise like it. I think the next movie should be based on the dinosaurs living among the humans (as most people in their reality are aware of their exsistence and i'm sure a few of them escaped from the island and went to the mainland) and the dinosaurs becoming more intelligent. As a result there could be a few who refuse to be tamed like a T-Rex . And wants t disrupte their utopia lifestyle.

1: well ..... good :D
2: well, for GRANT, maybe not have him so involved in the story, but i want to have the CATHY / ALEXIS combo

3: "parks" don't work (see ALL the films :D ) and i think humans have come up with a better idea ..... well maybe :p , and a more controlled environment would be better (the "zoo" in mexico) ..... but not make the "park/zoo" alone the problem. just look at my title, JURASSIC WORLD, it's a natural continuation to the whole story as the dinos migrate more

I honestly can't complain, I loved Jurassic Park 1 and 3 and think the first is one of the best adventure/thriller moves ever. Raptors are scary even now. :p

I like the idea of Jurassic Park in 3D, I just hope it doesn't turn out to be a sequel too far and ruin the memory of the original as a result.

The first Jurassic Park is really rather good, the 'other' two do their best to ruin the first. No more please...

Though a 3D cash in does seem a no-brainer for the dead eyed Hollywood execs. They could simply 're-boot' the franchise and not worry about complicated story progression. :(

Can't really say I have a particular desire to see another JP movie.

But I can still appreciate the sense of awe and wonder when seeing the first movie on the big screen.

I was at the first major previews screening of the movie in London way back on 1993, and it literally stunned the audience when you caught sight of that first big dinosaur. It was indeed a pivotal moment in moviemaking, and it did change the whole way movies were made.

But then...the floodgates opened. The movie industry went CGI crazy, and everything that was considered impossible to do at one time, suddenly became possible.

A lot of filmakers just went for spectacle...a lot went for the 'bigger is better' route...and others just upped the numbers, more dinosaurs, more creatures etc.

So I think a new JP film is going to find it very hard to come up with something that is going to stun us. Of course, they could come up with a good story. Get that right and hopefully everything should fall into place.

I would have loved to have seen more made of the idea of the dinosaurs loose on the mainland (as in The Lost World), but even now with movies like Godzilla and Cloverfield I am not sure that would have the same sense of newness and spectacle about it.

But...let's wait and see I guess.
