It was revealed today that Bond 21 will be a remake of Casino Royale, and will be driected by the same guy who Directed Goldeneye (his name escapes me right now). As far as I know, roles havent been sorted out yet.
I think a remake of CR is a good idea, as the original one isnt that good.

Is this film going to be done on the cheap, or is the title the only thing to be used ? One hundred and twenty minutes of card play and a bloke getting whacked around the jacobs with a carpet beater is not going to pull in the punters.
When did Eon get this ? I thought this was one title that escaped them down the years.

Yeah I agree, the whole idea of basing the new Bond film Casino Royale actually on the book, is well - boring.
I'm very cynical about Bond 21, its got boring now. Just move on.

Okay, we got this French guy who we think is bankrolling a Russian SMERSH operation - and oh yeah he's s SMERSH agent himself, and oh yes - he's a compulisve gambler who cheats at carRAB and has an appetite for beating people up who sit naked in a chair. All you got to do is bankrupt him and SMERSH will do the rest.
I think they'll make the French guy bankrolling a terrorist outfit and the whole idea of bankrupting him will probably be in the title-sequence or something very minor to some grand plot.
To be honest why don't they just kill Bond and move on... oh yes, because there is money to be made...
