New Hope - new bits

I watched Star Wars - New Hope on DVD. I just wondered what new bits were added as it looked updated.

For example 3P) and R2 hiding behind a door and the Stormtroopers walking around with this robot flying, which looked more modern day technically than anything 1970's.

Apologies if this has been asked before. I just wondered what new bits were added.

If it's rubbish and tacky, it's 1970's
If it's rubbish and tacky CGI, it's new.
