ok i found this board and wanted to see if anyone else here has symptoms like i do... I'm 26 with 3 kiRAB which in itself along with some labor jobs i've had has taken a toll on my back... For the past 6 months or so i've had back pain that will go at night down my right hip and into my leg... the weird thing is that along with the pain one of my vertebra in my back is tender to the touch and is closer to the vertebra below it almost seems like its sitting right on top of it and is farther away from the one above it... i along with some of my family can feel it when they run their fingers along my spine that vertebra also protrudes more than the others and between it and the one it's close to on the bottom when you run your finger over it, it feels like there is a bubble there that your fingers pop over in between those two vertebra... lol i hope this makes sense cause it's hard to describe... if i sit too long it starts hurting if i am overly active or active at all it will hurt.. i went to my doc she gave me flexiril cause she said one of my muscles by it was tense and that may be the cause but no such luck... a few weeks later i went to the e.r. and they gave me a shot for muscle relaxer and pain meRAB then took xrays and said the discs look fine that it was a lurabar sprain and for me to take it easy for a few days which i did and thats been a month and a half ago and still no relief... it's just getting worse with time to the point where i dont sleep well cause at night i cant get comfy cause my back and leg pain and all i do is toss and turn... does anyone else have anything close to this... any opinions would help greatly... thanks so much!!! :)

I just had ALIF surgery a few weeks ago. Lived with back pain/issues for 15+ years. If you have any questions, let me know!

i guess more than anything i'm afraid about going back to the dr for nothing... i dont have any insurance so some test are hard to get done... that's why i wondered if anyone else had similar problems so i wouldn't feel like such an idiot.... thanks tho...

forget about the basic x-ray , tell them you want a MRI and then you want to see a back specialist. sounRAB like a bad disc to me . good luck

I agree with Marley get a MRI as soon as possible. I went yrs. with pain and tried everything then one dr. suggested a MRI. It turned out I needed surgery.
