Mixed feelings about it, on the one hand, it's more Onizuka, on the other hand, his most recent manga have all been pretty meh.

Well, I love all three manga that take place in this universe (GTO, Shonan Junai Gumi, and Bad Company), so il probably really like this one. And since its set in the same place that Shonan Junai Gumi (my favorite of the three Onizuka series) im pretty psycked about it.

Yeah, so is Onizuka finally going to hook up with Fuyutsuki? The manga left everyone hanging on that one.

Edit: Lucky 1000th post. Only took me six years.

So, has anyone else been keeping up to date with the new manga?

Personally, while GTO: Shounan 14 Days basically uses the exact same formula as GTO, its a formula which I never grow tired of, as its always fun to see how Onizuka reforms a bunch of stuck-up students/delinquents/teenagers. To me, its actually a good thing that this series basically has the same exact feeling as GTO, except with a whole new cast of characters (except for the man Onizuka, himself ).

On a side-note, I actually got into GTO before I even found out about the 1st series, Shounan Junai Gumi (just like how I started DBZ before Dragonball), but I've recently just started reading SJG, and its pretty good, although it hasn't impressed me as much as GTO yet (but I've only read the first 2 volumes, and I still have 29 more to go ). Its just too bad that I have a hard time find the later volumes anywhere. I would hate to have to order them online, but I may have to do that if I want to finish the series, since I can't find where to read them onilne, and since my local bookstores barely carry any of the SJG volumes (and they usually only have a few random volumes available at a time, making it hard fpr me to collect the volumes in order ).

Well, she was seen for a moment in the 1st chapter, calling Onizuka on a cell phone asking why he wasn't in the hospital. However, what explanation for the lack of her presence in this series do you need, exactly? Onizuka is hiding out in Shounan since he revealed that he once tried to burry Urumi alive, which got the authorities to try and bring him in for questioning, while Fuyutsuki is still staying in Tokyo where she lives.

She really has not reason to follow Onizuka to Shounan, as far as I can see, especially since it might tip-off other people as to where he is.

and
fuyutsuki's friend is watching after him is it really necessary? though I have to say a real kidnapping in GTO...yeah not a staged one (points at miyabi)
I can't wait to see what happens next and will it only be 14 chapters? considering 9 have been released wtf?
GTO as a residential counselor not bad...
