Hi, Anybody tried this? Point your mobile phone browser at http://gmail.com/app and a Java App downloads and installs, but then I get a Nokia java error.

Ok guys, I have your solution. You have to install using the WAP browser "Services", not from "Web". Don't ask my why this is the case. I found the solution here: http://mobilecrunch.com/ but if you want to give me credit, that's fine too!

MobileCrunch discovered the problem:

I quote:

Well, how about this. After installing the program and successfully using it a few times. All of a sudden phone won't connect to the web, nothing no browser, no email, won't connect at all. Restarted numerous times, tried every setting I could think off, nothing. Finally deleted Gmail app, restarted and immediately started working.
Thanks but no thanks, I am a little hesitant about reinstalling the prog now.

I got that several times lately k.alex and I just have to restart the phone to correct it. It may be due to using non-browser apps but it's not because of that one app. I'm downloading it now, gonna try it and post results.

Hi Koek, i've got the same error. Look like there is a language problem. I had to change the language of my N80 from dutch to english. After that, i had now problem to download it

Well I played with it some and it's great. Some comments:

- It keeps you logged in unless you tell him not to in the settings

- It's very fast and nice interface, and since it accesses the gmail site directly you have access to all your mail, and don't end up with stuff locally and remotely, same with a single contact list

- You can send email but you can't add attachments

It does ask which access point to use, in fact it asks it several times. Any way to make it always use the same one?
