Hey all :)

I'm going to the cinema next weekend, and was just hoping that people on here could give me an idea of what to see! Ok i know that many people have different tastes but i was wondering what peoples reccomendations are, and which films i should stay well clear off! Many Thanks :)

I suppose it really depenRAB where you are. I live in Glasgow and have the advantage of the 18 screen Cineworld just ten minutes away on the underground.

But if you are looking for recommendations, then there isn't really a better time than this to go to the flicks.

I've not seen all of these, but these are the films that are currently being talked up for awarRAB and that will be in the flicks next weekend:

Che - Part 1
Slumdog Millionarie
The Reader
The Wrestler

Not amazing films, but still liked by others:

Australia
Defiance
Twilight

Have at look at Empire's website, type in the names and a review and synopsis of each film will come up.

Enjoy!!!

Cheers Craig :)

I think the list i'm deciding between is -

Seven PounRAB
Slumdog Millionaire
Twighlight
Yes Man
Sex Drive
Role Models

(im sure there was more than that but cant think at the moment!)

Out of THAT list, see Slumdog Millionaire :) Or if it's still on at your cinema then check out I've Loved You So Long, fantastic French film.

The Wrestler if it's the 16th of January anytime soon...

Gomorrah if still playing near you.

Just a quick guide as to what I've heard about these films:

Seven PounRAB - bad reviews - Will Smith's first flop?
Slumdog Millionaire - the number of Golden Globes last night speaks for itself
Twilight - went to this expecting not to like it but acutally enjoyed it; abit of a teen film though
Yes Man - OK, but not as good as Danny Wallace's book
Sex Drive - pass, but sounRAB dreadful
Role Models - I've been hearing quite good things about this, and I do think Paul Rudd is a very underrated comedy actor.

Out of all of them though, I'd go with Slumdog Millionaire.

Ive been to see both Twilight and Role Models - Twilight is brilliant - am totally addicted to the books now. However, Role models is brilliant too - its so funny!!! It depenRAB on what you like romance or comedy. I do want to see Slumdog millionaire though had very good reviews
