first of all sort out your grammar, second of all if it is your first car why are you buying it brand new! if i had the money to buy one of them it would be the new fiesta, better in every way

it's the very first time Im going to buy a car! I have no whatsoever knowledge about cars, so would anyone here please give me some opinions? Professional mechanic please please do tell me something??!!
I am choosing a car among these 3, new 09 Fiesta, or second hand (1 year old) Focus, and a 1 year old Auris.
My requirements are safety and realiable as I know nothing about cars, I don't want to buy 1 that has too many problems that I have to spend much in repairing it in the future.
In the beginning, I thought all the Japanese cars like toyota are very reliable, hence the consideration on Auris. However, I read the reviews on the website (like whatcar, parkers etc), either the site or owners reviews are not that good on Auris, some of them even saying their Auto gearbox is no good. (I have to buy an Auto as i can only drive auto).
Then I started to look at Fiesta and Focus from Ford, and read lots good reviews about them. I was happy and almost "decided" to get 1 between these 2. However, a friend of ours who is a mechanic for 15 years said to us "don't even go any close to Fiesta" He thinks they're rubbish and have lots problems.
When I asked him about Toyota, he absolutely recommends them. then I asked him about the bad reviews I read on the net, he said "most of the website is sponsored by some sort of manufacturer, which means those reviews could be paid by opponent to post on the website..."
all in all...I am very confused now!!!
I don't know what to choose?? I can't NOT take what our mechanic friend said into consideration as he has been in that field for over 15 years, he knows what cars came to his garage most with problems.
But why most of the website reviews are so good about Ford, but bad on Toyota?!
I definitely want a reliable car so I don't have to pay too much at repairments in the future.
Anyone has any ideas to share here? anyone using new Fiesta? do you think they are good and reliable?? got any problems etc??
Anyone use Auris? do they really have problems with the Automatic gearbox???
Please please, someone here share their own opinions if you're using any of them?!
And if you're a mechanic yourself, please tell me among these 3 cars, which one has LEAST problems????
