New Feature For TMO BB users w/o data plans!

According to a very reliable source within TMO,who will be know as "The Countess", beginning tomorrow, May 9th, tmo customers with Blackberries' and no data plan will be now able to send MMS, IM's and visit T-zones via their blackberry!very smart move IMHO as they still can pick up charges on your account for using these pay services. More details to follow as they become available!

Looks like you should call in to ad. It is called Blackberry Feature Enabler, and is auto being added to most accts that have BB pearl no data feature. But to be safe, I'd call in and add it.

Just called TMo, at first the lady didnt know what i was talking about, she then transferred me to blackberry support and they added the enabler in less than 2 minutes!

I have unlimited messages, and the guy from BB support said that i shouldnt encounter any billing for using the service!

All the feature does is open the "internet door" part way, so that you can use a dumbed down version of the blackberry internet to send MMS and IM, also giving you access to basic tzones so that if you were to download a ringtone from TMO it would come to the phone. If you have a sms/mms ftr it will pull from the bucket. If not it will be .10 for sms/ im and .25 per mms. (that is until they raise the price/lower the price to a flat .15 per message)

yes that is correct, but for the people that have unlimited msgs that wont be a problem, or for ppl that cant add bb unlimited at that..

Do you know if they will have anything like this avaliable for Sidekicks? My girlfriend just got a SK3 and is on the SmartAccess program so she didn't get data and wants to send pic messages and can't...

This would be great for a SK3

I'm wondering, does anyone know what the cost is for this "enabler"? I have the full data which is about 20 extra per month. Just wanting to compare and contrast I guess.
