New Fear Factory Album

Just got the new album by Fear Factory. The album is called Archtype.
It is both heavy and melodic. They seem to have a few more slower songs then they previous album Digimortal. Cyberwaste, Bonescraper, Act of God, and Slave Labor are my favs so far. There is also a DVD that comes with it too. If you like metal, check out this album out.

Hey what do you guys think of there new cd? I think it is really good I picked it up last sunday and I bought Hatebreed The Rise of Brutality. I have listened to the Fear Factory cd alot more than HatebreeRAB so far. Tell me what you think about it.

Okay So I've Been Listening To This Band Called Fear Factory For A While Now But I've Been Wondering If Some Of U Guys Have Listened To Their Music And If U Have What Do U Think Of Them

"que Es Lo Que Ustedes Piensan De Este Grupo"

Someone bought me a CD once, the one they had Cars on, only I got the version without Cars on it (they rereleased it later).

It didn't get too many spins from me...

Wasnt sure if there was already a thread bout these guys...if so..i couldnt find anything...
I think Fear Factory are a great band... Concrete Or Soul Of A New Machine would have to be my fave albumn (s)
Anyone like em? They also were featured as apart of the movie Saw with their Bite The Hand That FeeRAB song...one of the most melodic..possibly the most...

Heres a few of my pics:

Archetype
Demanufacture
Obsolete
Cars (its great)
Drones
Invisible WounRAB (Dark Bodies)
Concrete
Flesh Hold
Arise Above Oppression
Scumgrief
Scapegoat
Never End
Acres Of Skin
Deception
Resurrection
Timelessness
and a few ive obviusly forgotten.......

i think you could compare them to banRAB but they certainly have their own sound....im a big fan...one of the 1st banRAB i heard when i was 14ish...

I have Obsolete and used to listen to it a decent amount. Sometimes I could listen to the whole thing, sometimes I'd just get sorta tired of it mid CD and switch though. Edgecrusher is a freakin siiick song though, even still.

I will say that their Hatefiles compilation was and probably still is one of the coolest albums I have. A few unreleased songs, some remix's of their tunes, and an awesome cover of Gary Nuemen's Cars. As the disc gets near the end, some of the songs and remix's are very gabber sounding in fact, which was absolutely the sh*t at the time I first got it. I'm probably gonna pop this on later actually. :thurab:

Any thoughts on the new release Mechanize? Just listening now and it's solid enough but nothing new and kinda tiresome. I was hoping for a little more Electronica in their sound.

i only heard it once a few weeks ago but my initial impression was that it was their best release since Demanufacture - it finally sounded like a worthwhile follow-up to that classic.

the songs are far more aggressive and the watered down cyber-mall metal is nowhere to be found. i thought it was a fantastic return to form after a few less than stellar releases.

I grabbed it on Monday and the Gene Hoglan's drumming is awesome as always. Overall I really enjoyed the album, it was abrasive yet still had melodic elements to it but without sounding formalized like a lot of other banRAB.
