So the tech came today and it was actually a guy named eric that I had worked with for like 5 years. Anyways Eric came in and had a look at the signal strength then whistled and said its definitely an alignment issue. He went up on the roof 5 mins later I was getting signal on both at about 95. He said that the dish was screwed down very well and should not have moved and that he also tightend it a lot more. He asked who did the install and when I told him a 4 letter word came out of his mouth haha. He suspected hte original installer just didnt have it aligned good. He told me it should never be affected by weather again because it would be hard to move it now.

With that my dish lives again and Im happy :)

Congratulations on your sucessful resolution! It is a nice feeling to finally get your signal back, eh? Too bad it took so long and you had to endure all that frustration. Glad all is working again. I also personally know the guy who did my install - it sure helps in situations such as this.

I suspect the majority of problems people have with their receivers, are in fact problems with the installation. Unfortunately satellite is still a difficult install.

All techs visits, meanning new installation, move, realignement worki with the same tech calendar

If you got someone the next day it's because someone was available, period. If you weren't on the warranty you would have been offered the same appoitement

The only difference between a service call IN WARRANTY and a service call OUT OF WARRANTY is that in one case it's free for the client and in the other client pays

I realize that. I may have mis worded what I meant. I meant that they are covering the tech visit because i am under warranty :)
