New ECU???? HONDA CIVIC EX?

I Have a 2000 Civic Ex and i was talking to a friend about it and he told me i should put a new ECU into it. I was kinda confused at first then i got it. he told me to try and find a GSR ECU but im not really witch one i should get , Chipping ? Stuff like that .. someone help me out ?
