New e61 Firmware

Are you guys pluggin in your phones to AC power while updating?

I have flashed many phones (6682, E61, N73...etc.) many times using NSU and never once have I had any problems.

hi guys,

here is a link for anyone who had problems updating there e61 from V2 to V3. My nokia suite said my software was up to date, it was not, only had V2 at the time. So then i read this thread and it worked perfect.

things i noticed...

- there is a new Application called Internet Telephone, but i have yet to try it

- if you press or accidentally press the voice record button, it only opens the voice record app, but it does not start recording immediately unlike before where it just start recording immediately...

thats all for now...

Yes, following all the instructions. I think this is a bug in the new NSU version... because it's not just the 3.xxx firmware, mine had the same issue with the 2.xxx firmware version. I updated my 6681 twice with no issues, so I know how to perform it correctly.

Oh man. I hope that solves the issues with changing around settings for VOIP like with Truphone and such. I would prefer to just have an application to go to anytime I want to make an Internet call instead of switching outgoing lines and reverting for GSM calls.

Is the browser fast just because it's a fresh install or is it really faster?
What about the browser memory leaks? Did they fix that?

I'm getting ready to embark on the update train...

Hmm. I can register both of my SIP profiles, but am getting a connection error when I dial. I did re-enter the SIP profiles. Am I missing something?

Internet Telephone has always been there. It's only an app to specify the default internet SIP account to use. You can also register/unregister your accounts from that app. It's nothing else.

I installed the update successfully and I cant say there is anything different anywhere in terms of configuration (didnt test performance and blue key thing yet).

There is no STUN support like Nokia promised to input before Dec 06.

Just an update as ive yet to get this resolved, the code on the back on my phone shows 0530096 which according to the chart is Euro-Z Silver

What should i flash it with to get rid of the arabic?

Wirelessly posted (Series 60: Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.1; U; en-us) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413)

Dammit, the one day i leave the e61 at home to use the n73.. I'll have to try it tomorrow.. What firmware version is it?

Maybe we need post some info of the phone, especially the failing ones. So that other owners can cross check and we know the commonalities of those phones.
