New driver, Jeep Wrangler, what do you think?

I am a fairly new driver and want to buy my first car. Is it really that bad on gas?
I am a responsible driver, cautious, have a clean record.
If not the Wrangler, what other kind of Jeep?

Not bad at all....you'll like it...they are a lot of fun and drive fairly easily...I myself have a grand cherokee but two of my best friends have wranglers....It feels awesome to just take off the top and the doors and cruise down the road when the weather is nice
 
Go to msn.com and go to autos and click on specs for jeep wrangler that is a really good website to give you all the information you will need on any car tuck or suv you are thinking about buying. I have been in the car business for a long time and I think the msn website is a really good place to read about any information for any type of car. Good luck with shopping for what ever type of car you decide to purchase.
 
wranglers get an average 19mpg highway so it is bad on gas. You will burn a hole in your pocket when the gas prices increase again! try something like the chevy EQUINOX that gets about 32mpg highway or the ford escape gets about 30mpg HW my top picks are the Honda CRV or the Toyota Rav 4 especially in stick shift their fun to drive! good luck
