I agree with simple3, you need money for inventory. Say there are 10 different models and each model average cost is $125. You get 4 of each that's already $5000. It all depenRAB on what you have lay out in your business plan. If your goal is to sell 60-80 phones per month you need about 30-40 phones in stock every time. The thing with cricket is they change the promotion so quickly that the phones you have in stock might be on special and you order a lot cause everyone wants them, then they switch the promotion and a different phone is on sale. If you are a muti carrier store you lose money on some phones till you get your rebate back in 4 weeks. Here is a example(they are fake cost so please don't ask real cost) Phone a cost $150 reg sale price is $200. Cricket put it on sale for $150. You sell it for $150, you have made no profit till you get that rebate check back in 4 weeks for the $50. You also want to take advantage of the free shipping on phone orders over $1000 that will save you a couple of dollars per phone. Cricket rep are told to get as many nurabers out as they can so if a premier dealer want to open by you, your screw. I have a store in a small town of 50k and we have 7 cricket stores. 3 are mine but because I would not lower my prices they brought in another dealer who famous for cutting prices and has force me to lower my price. The bad thing is that dealer sells on price alone and we are stuck taking care of all the customer services.
