@Dwinget . . . once again you are a God among men. I thought you'd teach me something - you did!! I was just too dumb to look past the "options/settings" other than a name change from "San Francisco," which is the only default CA City. Anyway, here's the list of dates for upcoming years:

2012 March 11 November 4
so as we can see, it's 2nd Sunday in March, 1st Sunday in November. Just change those (I just did, following your directions) - and presto - done. Another option would be at least to turn Daylight Savings OFF for that city. Not as "automatic," but at least folks (thanks to you) won't have it occurring on the WRONG date.
Have to hand it to Palm for making that date changeable; if you were designing a handheld I think the last variable you'd consider would be the changing of DST dates . . . thank you dwinget!! / p
