New Datebk 5 Preview

I received the following announcement from Pimlico:

I have posted preview #2 of V-5.4a since a small, but significant
problem was found in the p1 preview release: under some
circumstances, an snoozed alarm could get lost if you exited and
relaunched Datebk5. It's now corrected in this release. No other
problems have been found, and I do plan to make this the
official "current" release of DateBk5 very shortly.

Note: I went to Pimlico's web site and it stated this release is recommended for T5 users.

dwinget, thanks for the info. I just downloaded and installed 5-5.4a on my T3 over the previous version (5-5.1b). I looked at the "What's New" page, but did not see anything earthshattering with regard to how I use DateBk5.

The changes made in this version are not obvious. In the readme files, it does mention that Datebk now is fully compatible with the enhanced PIM databases found in the T3 and other new devices. There is actually a utility bundled which forces Datebk 5 to use the classic databases. Pimlico claims this version will work on the T5. They did mention that T5 users should not install the T3's screen drivers.

I am still using Agendus 8.06 Professional, but installed the latest version of Datebk 5 to see what it is like. I noticed the toolbar layout has slightly changed. An icon button has been added. There have been quite a number of changes in the appointment details and there are some new context menus added to the program. I found out this pre release does not support high resolution icons yet. However, the program seems stable so far.
