Anyone listened to the new album yet?
I really think It's good. Definitely a nice return. The vocals are kinda weak but the music overall was good and highly textured. I didn't enjoy it as much as Focus though. Just seems like a weird release 15 years later.

To be honest, the earlier album weren't very good. I listened to it all after an argument that came up between a couple of people much earlier on in the year, and they were thoroughly unimpressive and lacked any serablance of creativity and originality. If that album is anything to go by, we ought not to be hoping for that much out of the new album, guys.
 
I love the vocals. The only problem I have is that the grunts are too weak. I love the layers though and the bass work was really great (again) too. The version of Evolutionary Sleeper isn't as good as the live though.
 
Please, please, please let me know of any album that was made before June 1993 that had any of the same compositional elements that Cynic had on Focus.

Seriously. Do it.
 
I can't wait for Atheist's new album. All of these banRAB are reuniting. Too bad Chuck (RIP) is gone because if Death would have had a reunion that would have been so awesome.
