New Comedic Star Wars Cartoon In The Works

I'd probably wait until after The Clone War's run is over before putting another cartoon out, but I don't have a problem with another show. It has potential. It could be pretty funny if Seth Green is a part of it. I don't really consider stuff outside of the 6 movies to be canon, so I don't get upset about things like some strict EU fans do if everything doesn't match up. I consider it more like Transformers or G.I. Joe with their different brands over the years.
 
Sounds too early to tell what the heck this thing is.

Toymation slacker humor for kids?

In a way it would be a smart move. Today kids have to make a mental leap connecting a character on a tv show with a toy they are supposed to buy that looks very much like that character, but is made of plastic instead of being a drawing.

And instead of taxing their imaginations to come up with adventures for their toys to go on, they can just use their robots and Jedi to emulate disaffected college students they may know from real life.

But, like I said, it?s too early to know anything.
I?m just not too hopeful about anything coming out of Star Wars anymore.
 
And IESB scooped news on this in March that this series would be based on the "Galactic Heroes" toy line.

And I'll just copy/paste my thoughts on this from another forum:

Green/Root/Senreich going from making animated comedies for adults to making a show for kids is not a step in the right direction.

But I'll give it a shot because: a) It's Star Wars; b) Green/Root/Senreich have produced some good animated comedy; c) If it's anything like the Superhero Squad Show, it might be fun.

But finding out this project is a kids show puts a serious damper on my expectations.
 
Something isn't adding up.

Seth Green said it'll be a comedy based on everyday stuff in the Star Wars universe according to the official Star Wars site yet that article says it'll be based on a toy line that is obviously based on well known Star Wars characters.

I'm going to wait for more news on this but I don't believe the IESB article at the moment.
