My sister and myself spent some years researching my mum's family. We kind of gave up a couple of years ago when our brother was ill, and when he died we lost heart. Anyway, she had an e-mail today from an Australian chap who'd seen some appeals we'd placed in an old copy of Family History magazine. It turns out we share a great (don't know how many) grandfather. Horace Manning Haynes appeared on the paper work he sent and when it said actor and director I decided to google it - and there he was. One of the less famous actor/writer/directors of his day - silent of course!!
