On channel 230, it says that on Oct. 30 there will be a new channel lineup coming available (says in info of channel and press enter for more info). However, there is actually no information on the channel yet. Has anyone heard of a new lineup of might have any idea on what one might look like?

this is just an unconfirmed rumor, but i've been told there are Bell test channels at the moment that have info that shows the following:

network hd: tune to channels 1210 - 1295 for canadian and us network programming available in high definiton

hd movies: tune to channels 1300 - 1322 for all movie network programming available in high definition

sport hd: tune to channels 1400 - 1486 for all sports network and ppv sports packages in high definition

specialty hd: tune to channels 1520 - 1616 for specialty network programming available in high definition

french hd: tune to channels 1812 - 1885 for french programming in high definition

it would appear that might be looking at mirroring sd programming and hd programming channel numbers. makes sense to me. :)

No I no longer have BEV, but I did have a 9200 before I sawitched back to Rogers.

Thats only a guess at what BEV might do.

Sorry. I misunderstood. I thought you actually were seeing this on a current receiver.
Thanks for the clarification.

Does anybody know if the theme packs are changing at all. I would like to see them add channels to the first tier of theme packs. A lot of the second tier theme packs only have a channel or two in each one that any good they should shift some of them to the first tier. The third tier of channels should be dropped no good channel on them that are worth watching. More channels should be added to the digital standard theme pack too. I know this will probably never happen but I would like to see it happen. I bet that there are some channels that will probably be dropped because they are in the second and third tier theme packs and nobody subscibes to them.

There's lots more information on the channel.

It's just that none of it is about the new channel lineup. ;-)

By mirroring you meen if I have an HD sub if I tune into TSN it will auto tune to the HD channel. I think that's what DISH is currently doing.

The channels in the 1000s seem to have gone away as of this afternoon. Perhaps this was a test?

It doesnt say new channel lineup, it says new channel CHANGES.

Meaning that Xtreme Sports is being dropped and there is some free previews.

I don't think so. I think it was a "failure" rather than a "test" and the update was backed out.

I don't think the implementation took, I have a 9200 & can only get French radio or something I have taped . . .my ch have 4 dig.

i know one theme pack i liked to see changed is the dreadful 3rd sport pack sense the only good channel on that pack for non-soccer fans is the fight network. I love the fight network but don't think its worth signing up for a theme pack where you only like one channel from it.

I agree that it appears to have been a dismal failure but it does beg the question, do Bell Tv write there own code for the receivers etc.?

I do not remember reading of anything like this happening on Dish....Ever. I might have missed it though...

I think you are reading it wrong.

They, Bell TV, have just reprinted lots of paperwork after the name changes, so i doubt very much they did it for fun and will have to re-do it all again in 2 weeks time....

Uhh, you forgot HBO on-Demand?? Whoops, I just remembered that Bell cant offer on-Demand.

It is more accurate to say that Bell TV do NOT offer "on-demand".

It is possible that in the future we could see an 'on-demand' type service, similar to the ones working in the States with the Satellite services.
