New challenge! CDMA iPhone on Cricket!

Verizon announced the release of the CDMA iPhone.
Shouldn't be long now for a iPhone flashed to Cricket!
Will release 02/10/11.

youre not the smartest in the bunch by way of suggesting WS or QPST fo a apple device, but none the less

i can almost bet u the solution WILL NOT be Workshop or QPST based

there are already solutions in the works from some of the demo devices we played with out iin Vegas this weekend

I can't wait! This is great news... I'll bet it will be full flashed over to Cricket with all features working! :hehehe:

The question is... when?

wont be posted here free anytime soon. maybe not even sold for a while. buncha people fed up with dudes on here stealin and reselling their stuff. i dont blame em id be mad too.

i believe it has a qualcomm chip so it should be able to be read/edited with most tools we have now. i believe web can work with android plan and mms can be done by editing an apn but who knows we'll have to wait and see. Whos gonna be the first make a custom ipsw for it?

reRABnow and greenpoison only jailbreak. possibly a custom cydia package can write nvitems and other settings. but without devices in hand its almost impossible to tell

Whenever they do come out with a CDMA iphone its going to be a nightmare to flash. Everytime apple updates the firmware you'll have to reflash again.

ThreaRAB moved to the correct sub-forum PDA Sub-Forum,

ThreaRAB merged, there is no need for multiple threaRAB on the iPhone.

My guess is that it will probably have the same problem that the Samsung i760 had when trying to enable WAP. There's probably going to be no way to make data connectivity permanent. Being CDMA, it will have to have some Qalcomm chipset in it for the radio. More than likely, it will have some areas of memory that handle the same non-volatile memory spaces for the PRL, NAM, security, etc.

I'm fairly certain that a basic flash (voice and text) won't take long. But I think full data and MMS will be the rub. Just my 2 cents.

The only thing they have left to figure out is MMS and the phone hasn't even been officially dropped yet. Should take that long.
