Just built a new AMD 5000 black edition comp with ddr 800 ram.
So my question is . The comp boots perfect in to windows XP pro and it runs and converts movies and burns in 45 min , But during non activity for 20-30 min it seems to shut down . the monitor says no signal but seems to be still running . Its almost like it went to hibernate mode but it wont come out of it , I have to hold the power down for 4 sec and reboot it back up. NO Errors At all . I turned off the reboot on error option . Nothing in the logs at all . So im stumped a little
no i turned off all the power management in windows , But ill check the bios but i don't remember seeing anything in there.
I believe that it even happened once while i was online .
Serious doubt its over heating . If so it would crash on me during 2-3 movies i convert and burn ever day , Also would crash or reset during gaming . I remember it doing it only 1 x during surfing the web but that was after 2 hrs of being on.
