New Blockbuster Sleeves....Online Rentals

Ive been with Blockbuster since April. Im still waiting for about 40 of the original titles.

I was waiting for All Dogs Go To Heaven for nearly 4 months. Last week it was sent out, but Blockbuster have decided to change their hard white plastic cases, for flimsy cardboard CD sleeves. When the disk arrived it was cracked right the way down one side, and im sure this was due to the new packaging.

I called them and they said that this was new packaging they were trial'ing and they were waiting for feed backs from customers. I certainly told them what I thought if them :mad:

On another topic, WHY oh WHY do they take so long to send some films out.

Queen Of The Damned (which Im sure they have more that 1 copy was recieved) after 2 and a half months. Why is it that my top 40 films (was 50 but they DID send some out) cant be sent?

I'm on the 5 x disk deal and last week, my "MY MOVIES" box was empty. I had no rentals and nothing on the way. Its only when I had to pick more films that I didnt really want that they started sending films out again.


Does anyone else feel dissapointed by blockbuster online?
 
Cancel Blockbusters and get a refund.
Join up with Screenselect for 2 months and then cancel.
Rejoin Blockbusters for 2 months and repeat.

Its a sad fact that Dvd rental companys treat new customers better than they do loyal customers.

Oh and avoid Lovefilm like the plague.
 
The service that Blockbuster are offering at the moment has dipped really badly, i have 24 films on my list and i am waiting on average about 3/4 days for a replacement film to be selected. Up until the last month, you could almost guarantee that a replacement film would be selected and posted on the same day. As for the cardboard sleeves , they are a joke . The discs will not come out of the case unless you grab the disc and pull, surely can't be good for the discs having to be constantly mauled. I am going to give Screen Select a try..

I've emailed them about it too. I've no issues so far, but i'm wary of ordering Curb Your Enthusiasm now, because it's two discs, and I can't imagine them being in any decent nick after being in those cases.
 
i have about 30 films on my list and i still only have 2 DVD's atm, also loaRAB of DVD's get 'lost in the post' because no one will be able to figure out what will be in those blue plastic things.
 
Do I win back "man points" if I say it was for my younger sister? :D

I seemed to get season 2 and 3 of Curb Your Enthusiasm very quickly (when they were in plastic cases). 2 months later and im still waiting for season 1. :mad:
Last House On The Left (2 disk) came last week in a cardboard sleeve that opens up. I was suprised the disks werent smashed to bits.
 
OMG Ive just checked screenselect and they have "Belly" which blockbuster DONT. I think I may just sign up for the free trial and then keep my blockbuster going so I dont have to re-register.

In my experience Lovefilm are no better or worse than Blockbuster or Screen Select.

Dvd365 and Global have been very poor and I wouldnt recommend either of them.
