New Beverley Hills Cop film to be made

I think that a new Beverly Hills Cop is a good idea and more plausible than Rocky, Rambo and Indiana Jones as much as I enjoyed them as Eddie Murphy is still fairly young compared to Stallone and Harrison Ford and the fact that BHC III was panned and dismissed by even Eddie Murphy the new film gives them a chance to redeem themselves and have a film that is the same level as BHC 1 and 2.

I wonder what they will call it? Beverly Hills Cop IV or Axel Foley: Beverley Hill Cop
 
Shrek 3 (which I thought was cute)
Some fat suit film, which was possibly the worst film ive ever seen (norbit)
And Dreamgirls, which I'm a huge fan of & he was given an Oscar nomination for.

So his career is doing pretty good at the moment, recovering.
 
I look foward to a new BHC movie and it was inevitable that another franchise would be revived for another huge payday.

I feel BHC 3 as a movie is much underrated but Eddie was really off form during that period of his career and so the character was barely anything like the Axel Foley of the 80's.

Hopefully this won't be a complete retread of the first because that is what wore the sequels down,so it should get the right mix of nostalgia and freshness.
Not rely completely on the old formula andactors (although they should make appearances),instead adding new characters,settings etc.
 
What would the plot be?

1) Billy and Taggart go to Detroit and they are the fish-out-of-water? Cue lots of driving sequences where Billy and Taggart drop their collective mouthes whilst being driven through the burnt out streets of the once regal Motor City.

2) Axel, Billy, Taggart are all fired by a failed narcotics bust, and then they go 'rogue'.

3) Axel Foley and the Internet flame wars! Axel, Billy and Taggart are all fish-out-of-water when they are recruited by the Internet department to take out a group of hackers that is raiding personal ID information from Facebook, ning, youtube, twitter or whatever web2.0 app is popular these days....

4) Eddie Murphy decides to make a movie full of in-jokes about himself and his past movies. Includes scenes where he has to go undercover as a fat man as a fat woman inside a fat family - to arrest them for deadily human methane releases; later, Murphy orders himself Waffles whilst at some hotel.

5) Axel Foley finRAB out who shot Uncle Dave, from Beverly Hills Cop III.

6) Surge returns to become the Beverly Hills Cop when Axel Foley goes evil, only to blow his deep-deep-DEEP cover as a double agent who is playing a double-agent... cue Surge quipping "So you're a ... *counts on fingers* triple agent?"

Or... maybe not.
