Well, after trying SHAW DIGITAL CABLE(yeah right) and STAR CHOICE, I finially switched to BELL, I must say iam VERY happy with the Picture quality and I havent heard a single audio drop out YET!!!!

I work in the Home Theater feild and consider myself a hardcore videophile, Anyways I can see a big difference between SHAW and Bell. BELL wins hands down. My SD on most channels look GREAT, I sometimes have to look and make sure its not a HD channel.

None of the systems can compair to actually BLUE RAY quality and I still prefere to watch movies on my blueray player.

The biggest difference I see going from Shaw to Bell, is less ghosting around everything, I cant believe how good it looks. Still some channels dont look as good but Iam happy, Its way better then SHAW. I also find the audio sounds better on BELL then shaw.

I also use to have STARCHOICE and again, way better picture on BELL.

I was scared I was wasting more money and time going with BELL because I didnt think it could be much better then STARCHOICE, but iam impressed.

Not trying to argue, but are you saying Bells HD picture is better than Starchoice HD? Because I don't think it is. I would say a few of the SD channels on Bell are Better though like Vision ,CTV toronto etc..

it's such a Waste of time & bandwidth to keep arguing back & forth who's got better HD. Bottomline is, it all depends how you look at things in life and science! No matter how crisp the video maybe from bell & starchoice, consumers (end users) must use proper cables to deliver maximum performance. HDMI & Component are #1 priorities and S-Video would be the last resort.

Yes, so far I have to say the HD is better on Bell. One thing I noticed is on the show CSI LAS VEGAS. On the INTRO, where u have the BLACK and white flashing, I use to see alot of macroblocking on SHAW, and STARCHOICE. Also when ever they were in a BAR, and the strobe lights flash, u could really see it. ON BELL I didnt see it yet.

I know BELL isnt perfect, and I know there is macroblocking, and iam sure I will soon see it, but so far YES, iam convinced that BELL is BETTER then SHAW.

Think of it this way, if SD channels already look better, then I would believe that the HD quality would be better. Also I have only had this for a few days now, and IAM 110% convinced that the AUDIO sounds BETTER, not only on the SD channels but on the HD as well. Space is probley the channel I watch the most. Also Its so nice to actually watch CSI without ANY audio DROP OUTS, already that makes me happy. I guess the true TEST will be when watching TERMINATOR on Monday. When I had Shaw I couldnt even watch the dam show, way too many audio drop outs. Ofcourse some people may not notice the difference in the audio due to everyone having different equipment.

My main reason for switching to bell, was mainly because I was sick of all the bullcrap with SHAW CABLE(crap picture/audio dropouts/service) I must say, when I had STARCHOICE, I had good service and better picture, and less audio dropouts. BUT I thought of goingback to STARCHOICE because I did have good experience with them, but I just didnt want to give them any more of my money. Switching to BELL was my last HOPE, I read all the info on the fourms, and everyone complains about the same things with both Bell/shaw/starchoice, so I wasnt expecting good results. But Iam happy I did.

When it comes to watching a good quality blue-ray movie on a propley set up home theater system, NONE of these systems can come close the quality. I use my Bell for TV viewing ONLY, I hate watching movies on TV, even though its in HD, the sound and picture quality SUCK compaired to the DVD. If u use your SAT or Shaw to watch HD movies, your missing out on a exciting clear picture and sound. I truly believe these systems are only good for one thing, and thats watching TV.

Iam also one of those people who would pay $300 for a cable just to get that LITTLE TINIE better picture quality(lol).

Here is a list of equipment I use:
SONY SXRD XBR2 70"(ISF)
ATLANTIC 8200e THX ULTRA2 7.2
PIONEER ELITE VSX49TXi THX selectII(getting the flagship soon)
PIONEER ELITE BLUE-RAY
BELL HDPVR(newest model)
THX ULTRACAP 12g
Audioquest HDMI
PS3/XBOX360/WII/XBOX(MAME)/NEO-GEO/DREAMCAST
