Quick history, looking for any possible suggestions.
2005 Saturn Vue, 4cyl, approx 62,000 miles
4th of July, had headlights on for about 30 minutes w/o engine running, noticed headlights starting to dim, tried to start car.. no dice. Tried to jump car, wouldn't start. Replaced battery with new one, car started, drove down the road and the headlights start to flicker, engine hesitates, battery light on dash comes on and car dies at the stop sign. Restart the car, the rpms immediately plummet to 0 and it stalls again. I start it once more, push the accelerator, ramp up the rpm's and quickly shift into drive and start driving again. Every time I applied the brakes or let my foot off the gas and the rpm's would drop below 1,000 it would stall and the battery light would come on. Drove it to autozone, they tested the battery, said the battery was fine and fully charged but it was putting out less than it should so the alternator was bad. Yesterday I had the alternator replaced, picked up the car, started driving it home and it was hesitating again and finally died at a stoplight. Everytime I start it if I don't push the accelerator, it will stall. If I AM able to get to idle on it's own, if I turn on any other accessories, such as the A/C, it will stall out immediately. Took it to autozone after the new alternator was put in, now everything is testing out fine but the car still stalls. Now the battery light on the dash stays illuminated when I drive the car. Checked all battery connections, no corrosion, even swapped out that battery for a different one and still no improvement. Checked all fuses, none are blown. Check engine light is not on and has never come on. This car has never had any issues until the battery died Saturday night.
Any suggestions?
