I thought the show was cancelled.

Is the new season technical anime? This season is made for North America, and from what I hear a Japanese audio version is not planned.

It was so popular in America they convinced Japan to make another series. Myself, and many others as well, can't wait to see how the epic story of Bakugan continues.

It's an anime serie, It wasn't 'cancelled' it just...ended. You rarely get anime show getting outright cancelled because the studios invested money to get that time slot on the TV channels and they want to make it worth their while.

That's true. I've only heard of a couple of occasions where an anime series was canceled and I think that was mainly due to seriously poor ratings. I would imagine that they would have to really low considering how much effort it takes to get the series off the ground.

While I still haven't seen the finale for the first series, I keep on missing when CN plays it in the morning, seeing the second series sounRAB interesting. Especially with how the second half of the first series turned out. I think that it's a pretty nice show to watch for the fun of it.

Yeah. The only time I've heard of an anime getting "cancelled" was Inuyasha, and that was only because they caught up with the manga.

The Japanese studio was going to create a new series regardless of its popularity here.

I saw the preview toys in stores recently. They include new puck-shaped Bakugan refered to as 'Trap Bakugan' or 'Bakugan Trap' (forgot) so I suppose they're trying to include some more strategic element in there.

I wonder if it'll have the same characters or new one...

Hey, where are those who opposes this anime? I, myself, don't hate it(I don't like it either), but I don't know. One meraber just haves a field day with this anime.

I don't get why they won't use Alice for NV. She's the only intresting character next to Shun.

As for Julie and Runo, I'm not sad at all. Their obnoxious voices always irked me a lot, so no harm at all.

That's exactly what I meant.

I actually liked Runo and Julie, by the way, I don't find their voices annoying at all.

But yeah, it's a shounen series, since it's meant for the boys.

Actually, it does appear Sega has some intention of releasing this in Japan, since there was some discussion in a Japanese article recently about it. Only question is when it'll actually air in Japan...

Now, regarding whether or not this is still "anime", it isn't any different than the last series. It's still Japanese produced with some Canadian funding going into the episodes, like the previous episodes. If anything, TMS Entertainment probably produced a Japanese audio track for the series in the case that it does air in Japan, if Sonic X 53 through 78 is any indication. The focus of the series is definately for the International market, but there is still the chance of this being released in the country of origin, which being Japan. It's being written, storyboarded, directed, and animated by the Japanese studio.

The issue is whether or not if TV Tokyo dropped out of the series production, which happened with Sonic X back in 2004 when the new episodes were in production. If this is the case, there might be a similar issue that'll occur with Bakugan, in which the newer episodes may not air in Japan any time soon (if at all, but information above suggusts this may not be the case). This situation is scarely similar to Sonic X and I do hope this does not end up being the case, especially to those who did enjoy the show by the Japanese version. However, given the show's low ratings in the timeslot it was in, as well as I'm uncertain the popularity of the merchandising in general, I'm unsure what's going to happen. TMS actually removed an episode from broadcast when it was airing in Japan, which I believe was episode 40, but I'm unsure as to why (possibly an episode that wasn't important enough and was removed to get through the series as quick as possible).

I do recall once that it was mentioned that Sonic's Japanese voice actor commented that the new series would begin airing Summer 2005 in Japan. This would be around the time KiRAB Station would end broadcast of the first series, but it never went into the second half.

Now, I'm not a fan of the series, but it's not entirely that bad (and there are worse shows out there, trust me). It's just Nelvana's wonderful dialogue for the English version that doesn't quite help it, including some of the music and voice choices.

Though, the silence being kept and most violence generally wasn't omitted. I thought that was a nice touch. In any case, there are people who do like it and unfortunately for many of you, it's a show I don't going away anytime soon on the airwaves. All I can say to those is to just ignore it and pretend it's not there.

And with that, I'm done.

I guess people don't pay attention to the fact that New Vestroia was announced 6 months ago and is 26 episodes long. The originals are all expected to have cameos, with Dan, Marucho, and Shun all eventually being on the main battle front, but Alice and Julie won't be on the main battle front due to a couple of new characters they want to involve. Also, Sony has announced plans for a third season of Bakugan as well as a movie, so it's not going away anytime soon. If you don't believe me, here's the sources:

Season 2- 26 episodes:

Can we discuess the specifics of the episodes to air so far on this thread? Or do we have to start a talkback thread, there are a couple of things I want to say.

At the very least, the moderator should add the word SPOILERS to this thread.

A lot of people here dislike Bakugan, so, no.

And besides, I'd be the only guy posting, yet, but this season just doesn't interest me, which is sad, because TMS did a good job improving the animation a bit.

I had an idea of what they should have done last season, well it appears they are going to do this time.

I thought a good twist was from Masquerade to be Alice's brother. It appears they will do something this season with Mira and Spectra Phantom.

It hasn't been said yet, but it so obvious that they are brother and sister.

I wish every episode was like episode 51. The animation and fight scenes were sick!

Anyway, I hope the writing improves this season. I like the show and all but the story could be incredibly weak at times, not that it was really all the great to begin with.

And to be honest I'm not that bummed out about Alice, Runo, and Julie getting the shaft. They were my favorites out of all the brawlers but there's not much you can do with them now.

Guys, just found out this out. Teletoon has already started airing it and are already on episode 2. I looked around a bit and this appears to be true.

Good advertising there...
