Well this phone wasnt so easy to flash, specially when i get banned trying to do it.

Well i got this phone on 06-01-07 and paid 446.54 for it since i bough it with no contract, and than i had to pay to get a plan so i could get the SPC. i spent all day trying to get the curitel drivers from the forums and i couldnt get them so i had to make some calls and finally got them, thanks jay.

Well here are the steps:

1. download and install this here drivers

2. plug the phone and make sure is on Helio Sync

3. change the ports to COM1 and COM2( make sure 1 and 2 are not being used)

4. I tried a lot of different programs to get the SPC but i couldnt since the Ocean has a 6550 chip and the programs could not get it so i had to call Helio and get a contract(which i will cancel in a few days) so they could give me the SPC or else they wont unless i have a contract. Bitbim will not read the phone.

5. I used CDMA workshop to load the PRL but i guess you can use the one you prefer

6. Call cricket and give them the ESN(tried to change the ESN but it would reboot) if they ask say its a Remix

7. dial *228(this part is tricky because it will never tell you the phone is activated so just sit tight until it hangs up the call

8. Reboot and now you have the 2nd Ocean on cricket..... haha


I also thank Jammis for bringing up ideas

This phone completely replaces my others phones and if you willing to pay more than 500$ for it, you wont regret it.

Took the pics with my xv6700 so they not so great.

Lol... you're not "wasting your time on me" because I totally PWNED you on the A900 thing.... It's highly coincidental that you not only can't provide pics, but that you also conveniently "forgot" the steps to making it work.
 
Why are you dorks arguing about who is the bigger nerd?

In my opinion, the "Ocean" looks like a piece of junk. Perfectly suited for 8th grade girls with an allowance.

I wish some of you would focus your energy and talents on cracking quality phones for use on Cricket...
 
so I am wondering what this pictures are supposed to show. All I see is a couple of Helio phones. Big deal. All they seem to prove is that you can write your name on spiral notebook paper.

I think everyone here can do that.
 
just to let you know, 295 is the price for a 2 year contract..... you should read things better

and ONCE again i sold the a900...... phone is not worth it...... this is like the 10th time i tell you this but doesnt seem to fit in your brain...

maybe you right i did the easy part of flashing the phone, you go and buy the phone and get everything working on it and make a post for all of us.... you smart anyways arent you??

well woof for your info this phone it is flash..... and if you can affort to pay 500$ for the phone and follow my steps i guarantee you that it will work

plus the only way to prove that is cricket is by getting WAP working on it.... but i think you wouldnt know that.

and when you said I THINK EVERYONE HERE CAN DO THAT...... than why dont you do it yourself???

i dare you to flash any phone to cricket that no one here has done and ill believe that EVERYONE HERE CAN DO THAT

if you cant do that, then i suggest you keep those comments to yourself and play with your SLVR or something

What exactly does that prove? Oh yeah, that you're not smart enough to buy the exact same item on ebay for $100 less.

What else does it prove? that your reading comprehension SUCKS. I made it very clear I was talking about ebay prices.

FInally, I understand that you didn't take pics of the A900... Why didn't you? I made the request while you still had it. If the phone "isn't worth it" as you say, why did you go to the effort of getting rid of a sprint A900 to buy a bell version, as you claim in this thread?

Again, if you DID figure out how to do it.. Post a walkthrough. I won't be able to make it work anyway, because my A900 is a sprint, and I agree.. it's too crappy of a phone to be bothered with trying to fix.
 
The only thing i dont get is why you had to get the plan to get the spc for the phone.....
You dont need a plan to get the spc you can obtain it through the computer just like any other phones ;)
On a side note good luck on trying to get wap or mms working on these phones ive tried and tried on the samsung ones all they like to do is reset when a pic messages comes through lol o well
