Hey Yoss!

Congratulations. A baby girl! There is nothing better. I have 2, grown now, and how I wish I could re-live some of those moments! I know you'll make her proud and she'll make you even prouder!

Best wishes,

JB

My baby girl was born today at 11:15 GMT - weighing in at 5lbs 8oz.

Im probably the happiest man on the planet at this moment in time.

just thought i'd share that with you all

:)

Congrats Yoss! I never post, but I read everyone's stories here. I am very happy for you. I am sure it feels better than any drug you have taken!

Yoss, Congrats on the new baby girl! I have no daughters, but have 2 grand-daughters and little girls are special. I was a daddy's girl and my grand-daughters are daddy's girls, each of my sons have a daughter. I am so happy for you about the birth and you being clean for a year and I know your days will be full of more joy than anything. So may God bless you, your daughter and the mother of your child. LOL, Fiesty

Congratulations!!! That's great to hear. My lil boy turns 1 on the 11th

KiRAB are great

Yossarian,

Ah, how life seems to put things into perspective. :)

Throughout our life, we live and learn. Somewhere in between these two extremes, we hope to be blessed with abundant opportunities to love and laugh.

This is one of those "in between" moments.

May blessings continue to illuminate your life.

Proudly stated,

Phoenix

Thanks for all your kind worRAB everyone :)

My daughter is still in the special care unit at the moment - though she is doing well. I hope to have her & her mum home for the weekend. After all, she should still officially be 'cookin' inside a belly at the moment.

she is absolutely beautiful i might add too. :)

I intend to savour the "in between" moments as much is humanly possible from now on.

many thanks

:)

Oh Yoss!

You are the chap, buddy! ( Is that how it is said over the ocean there???)

Yoss, a baby girl.... wow, keep an eye on her little pinky finger as you are a big weight that is sure to be wrapped aroung it for many years to come. Smiles. I am sure you have already melted a few times just looking at her, huh? And does your litle guy suddenly look 10 times bigger than he did just the day before his ister was born???

All best wishes for the beautiful family with the strong daddy in it. You will be a great leader in the home... a real example of strength. Your whole story is kinf of a love story, buddy... what the love of life and family can help us overcome.

Stay strong and happy.
Love

Hey GMAN - if it made you post - that makes me a happy man :) it beats any drug i've taken & any high ive experienced - well & truly

Dorskin - Happy Birthday to your little 1 on the 11th. KiRAB are great. Really great.

Reach - dont you try and get them 'mansize' tears of mine rolling again! As always - your worRAB are a great comfort & strength (not only to me, but to everyone). And, yet again - you are right! my pinky is already beginning to feel a bit weird ;). Also right again with the facts: i have melted...several times today - and my boy is looking/acting way bigger/older than he did 24hrs ago! Especially when i took him to the hospital in his new school uniform :)
My little girl is being kept in the Special Care Unit at the hospital as she is 6 weeks early. Though i am totally at ease with this as she is showing great signs & impressing the Drs. This is the same unit that my boy was taken to at birth (he was also prem by 6 weeks too) And my little boy has turned out to be one hell of an amazing guy.
Life just keeps getting better. In my life I had strayed so far from the path that the view of the path seemed so far away and impossible to ever get back to. I almost gave up.

Nearly a year on from my last dosage of methadone - i have kept to the 'right' path and my life has been changed for the better in so many ways - i still dont have piles of cash & there are still the slings and arrows of every day life to deal with. Its just that the way i choose to deal with these things now, that makes the journey through life a hell of a lot easier.
And as cliched as it may sound to some - as it is a quote from a popular british film 'Trainspotting'

"Choose Life"

Its best option :)

Love and best wishes from the family Yoss :)

It's good to hear that baby and mom are doing well.
