New Accounts and Txt Messaging

Yesterday I open my acct with Cricket in McAllen, Texas. Bought the Samsung Messager and was ready to test. But! Been having problems sending txt messages.

One error msg asked me to put all 10 #'s. OK. I did. Then the following msg was that it could not send message.

Does an acct have to wait an x amount of hours/days BEFORE being able to send text messages? :confused:
 
You should give Cricket a call. It sounRAB like they're having network issues around you right now, actually. Call and see if anything's been reported, maybe get an ETA of when it'll be resolved.

Another thing to try, just for fun, is dial *228 and wait for your phone to be reprogrammed.
 
Serious problems with SMS text and MMS picture messaging here in Dayton, Ohio since the official EVDO/Broadband launch Nov. 21st. :disappoin

Almost every customer with a flashed phone activated since then has had to call to have their account refreshed.
 
Well. I called*611 and they told me two things:

1. Dial *228 and reprogram. Did. Nothing happened.
2. They would "refresh" acct. and try later. I did. Nothing happened.

New markets usuallly experience that. also messengers been having issues with multimedia just got an email about that the other day..
 
Yea i've been having that same problem my multimedia is acting weird when people send me pictures i get Message Recipt Failed and i try and try and i can never get a picture to show, but i found out something if you take a pic with your camera phone then send it out, i will get it but i shouldnt have to tell my frienRAB do this or that just to get a pic..........
I think it has to do with formats of pics, since in my local town Rep said it was so.... but i never had this problem before with other carrier's...
 
I am going to save you all. And let you know exactly how to fix this. Cindi has been adding mexico text messaging to all thier accounts. Instead of regular text messaging, call customer service and tell them to manually add text to your account.
