Hello everybody, I posted this comment on the diabettes page and thought I might run it past this page.

Hello, I am 70years of age, had a triple Bypass at 62 years and smoked for 45 years stopping June 2000, 18 months before the Bypass. I suffer with this confusing pain in both of my feet which is there 24/7. The pain is like the front (ball & toes) of my feet are frozen, boiling hot and sometimes like I am walking on gravel. It is difficult to describe, but probably ranges from 6 to 9 pain factor. I have type 2 Diabetes which I am told is the cause of the problem, for which I am taking Diamicron 60mg MR. I am taking Endep 10, once per day at night for the pain and get no relief whatsoever, Over the last 2 or 3 years I have seen about 5 different local doctors, had all the veins in my legs scanned, and attended a Vascular surgeon who said my problem was nerves. I would give anything for some relief even if the problem is not totally solved.

The pain you describe sounRAB like peripheral neuropathy, and is something many with diabetes develop. There is a section of the forum for that disease:

There are some medications that help some people with the pain. Ask your doctor to see if something is available to help you.
