It's this kind of law that allows the deeds of the evil to go unchecked.
When I was a kid we lived on the edge of a small town farming community. My mother grew a large garden and the neighbour was there and when my mom bent over to pick some cucumbers he pinched her rear end! She blew up at him. (never told dad about it though; dad would have had a fit and started something ... like a real good bloody fist fight with the neighbour)
Anyways the next day the guy comes over apologizing to my mother and said he's sorry but he was drunk.
Mom didn't buy the excuse ... she said "all the drink does is loosen your inhibitions; you wanted to do that and the beer gave you the moxy to do it". She was right, drunk was no excuse.
The pervert abused a kid while drunk? All he did was what he wanted to do it's just that the drink loosened up his inhibitions.
The judge should know better. A drunk driver gets no lenience for his crime and a drunk paedophile shouldn't get it either.
Dump the pervert in jail and dump the judge who wouldn't put the pervert there in the first place.....
