Never Mind The Buzzcocks - Series 24, Thurdsday 10pm BBC2

Pop quiz. Team captains Phill Jupitus and Noel Fielding are joined by guests Howard Marks, Badly Drawn Boy, Katy Wix and Tulisa Contostavlos, while Catherine Tate presents.

Is that the bint from N-Dubz?
Never heard of the other lass and Damon Gough always came across as a grumpy bastard to me.

Will still give it a watch though. Maybe catch the late night repeat.

Oh, I nearly posted a very negative review half way through last night's episode but I didn't bother as I thought people would think I was a miserable old git missing the humour ... turns out I was actually in agreement with everyone else ... it was shit wasn't it.

Someone should tell Fielding that being amused at your own jokes and continually fussing with your hair aren't endearing and Jupitus should just be shot and put out of his misery.

So say a final episode could be a team Phil, Sean and Preston v Noel, Bill and Simon with Lamar acting as host.. We can always sub Preston for someone else of course.

I thought that Tate came across as arrogant, annoying and incredibly self-indulgent. Buzzcocks is supposed to have some relation to music, but instead the show was turned into "The Catherine Tate Show", not helped by Tulisa requesting Catherine to perform her truly awful catchphrases. I caught the repeat last night and it dawned on me that not only did she do the "Am I bovvered?" routine, but she then did the "Alllllright?" bit as well. I know this phrase is getting tedious, but it really was "cringeworthy". Really can't stand Tate, especially after she ruined Series Four of Doctor Who.

Please don't allow Tulisa from N-Dubz or Catherine Tate anywhere near this show again, for the love of God. I thought Noel and Howard Marks were the only saving grace really. Felt sorry for the lovely Katy Wix, she looked very uncomfortable and it's a shame she had to endure Tate's put-downs. Tate is hardly in a position to be slagging anyone else off really.

Anyway, looking forward to Jack Dee next week and also Frankie Boyle, David O' Doherty and Tim Minchin's episodes. I hope they manage to find a suitable permanent host for the next series and beyond though.

Was at Groban's recording on Tuesday. Really enjoyed it, he really went for Michael Buble (not that Buble was there haha). Was impressed with Groban, but I'll let you make your mind up on the others when it's shown.

I've given this series one and a half programmes to impress but here's where I admit defeat. It's just utter shite now. No more for me.
