Never Mind The Buzzcocks - Series 24, Thurdsday 10pm BBC2

I tweeted Phil Jupitus a few days ago asking what the chances could be of Mark Lamarr maybe coming back to do a one-off 'guest host' spot, as I'd love to see this show be brilliant just one more time. Sadly, the response was:

Very unlikely. I think he's done with television as a whole...

A real shame, as I think it would be brilliant to send the show off with a final episode featuring Bill and Phil as team captains, four of the best guests they've had over the years (I'm not actually sure who I'd pick off the top of my head), Athelston (however you spell his name) and the pirate guy in the line-up etc.... It'll never happen, but I'd love to see it!

EDIT: I just found out Athelston died of prostate cancer in 2008 :(

Just watched last weeks ep. Ronson was very poor, his monotone voice is awful for presenting. Paul Foot was brilliant, the only thing good on the show.

Dont think she and La Tate are best mates.

Couldn't believe Howrd Marks was on but he was funny, if useless. Normally I like Catherine and don't get all the hate for her, but didn't enjoy her very much at all.

Liked the kestrel references though:D

One thing to be grateful for though, at least they didn't have dappy

Remembering that Sean Hughes actually started the show with Phil and Mark. But, that said, I think a final episode along those lines would be a great idea.

There was a time when Noel was an endearing upstart on the UK comedy scene. Now he's believing his own hype and outrageously name drops...at Courtney Love's party when Pete Doherty turns up?
Was Kate there?
Did Amy show up?
Some bloke in stupid trousers from a bleeding edge band so cool they don't even exist yet?

I think there's a rule for Buzzcocks in that every week one of the guests must either be some really obscure act that no-one has heard or a "with it" comedian who is about as funny as leprosy

It was shocking. Ronson has not one ounce of charisma or comic talent, and Noel Fielding continues to be an insult to the word 'funny'.

Phil must be cursing his bad financial dealings that keep him trapped in this revolving door of shite.

Catherine Tate tonight so we can expect lots of laughing at her own hilarity. Now Norman Wisdom has passed The Tater takes the crown as "Comic Who Most FinRAB Themself Insanely Hilarious".
