Never Mind the Buzzcocks Guest Hosts 2010.

Phill Jupitus on Twitter just confirmed Mark Ronson, Catherine Tate, Jack Dee, Tim Minchin, Josh Groban, Tim Westwood, Robert Webb and Frankie Boyle, so far.

Not too shabby.

Could have done without Catherine Tate and Tim Westwood.

They should just give it to Rhod Gilbert permanently. He's brilliant and can really up the sacrasm level with the guests even more than Mark Lemar did.

That does look like they've actually given some thought to the lineup rather than just pick names out of a hat.

Boyle should be good, as should Minchin and I do agree about Josh Groban - he was great as a guest.

I wonder if they'll ever show the "lost" episode featuring Russell Brand ??

All good, I just can't see myself watching the Westwood episode. I just don't get him. Is it supposed to be funny or serious? It's unbearable to listen to

Michin and Groban have stand out potential

On the Nevermind the Buzzcocks DVD - there is a couple of clips of Russell doing the intros round...but that's about it. I did Tweet-ask Phil Jupitus about this once, and he agreed it was mad they werent showing it..but no sign as to if it will actually be screened. Probably not...the BBC are just going to hold a grudge.

Aaargh get Matt EdmonRABon to do an episode already!

Mark Ronson is a useless choice. I have nothing against the guy (in fact I like some of his music) but he never comes across as having much of a personality when he guests on this show.

Yeah, sounRAB like it unfortunately. Maybe it'll fall into Dave's hanRAB though ?.

If they obtain the rights to a batch of episodes, the Beeb might essentially toss it in with those ?

Dunno .. just seems petty and vindictive to make sure it never sees the light of day.

At least Corden isn't anywhere near this series.

Looking forward to the Minchin, Groban, Webb, Boyle and Dee shows. :)
Not looking forward to the Westwood, Ronson and Tate shows though. :(

I don't know whether he runs the site, but he does do their interviews. I've always thought he'd be a perfect host for Buzzcocks, he's quite similar to Simon Amstell without being a carbon copy of him, he has his own sense of humour.

I suppose the BBC might not be after someone similar to Simon though, but I'm not sure any of the above list would make good permanent presenters. Maybe they're just sticking to the guest presenter format for a while.

Agree. The show has already lost its edge. Looking forward to Robert Webb though.

Which is a shame. He was a great host.

Which, depending on the guests may turn out to be the best of the series:D

When's it back on? it seems like an age has passed since I watched new Buzzcocks!
