This is the 1st time I have ever felt like I have had allergies. I have never had it before. Is it possible to develop allergies late in life?

Yes, one can develope sensitivies or allergies to anything at anytime.

What makes you believe you've developed allergies ?

What do you believe is the cause ?

I developed allergies as an adult. The symptoms have gotten worse over the years.

Hello Again ~ ~ ~

I'm taking it for granted, that the allergies you feel your expierencing is associated to Springtime accompanied by pets ? Or, are you refuring to food / Chemical sensitivities ?

Hoping this post finRAB this day is better for you... ;)

It is possible to develop allergies late in life I started showing symptoms of allergies at about age 20, first I though it was some type of sinus infection but it was just allergies, to both chemicals and particles in the air.

Unfortunately, the answer to your question is, yes. I developed them in my 40's!!! and I just spoke to a man tonight who said he has just developed them and he is in his 50's.

I guess my question would be, did I have the allergies but was able to fight it off better? at 52, I am getting allergy injections, just starting and there are days I feel like it might be ok, but then if I am borabarded by grass cutting or what now seems to be a tree blooming in the back of my house, it kind of flares up again....

Does anyone know if that is why some of us feel the allergies in our 50's? is it that our bodies can not fight the allergen as well? I notice many of the patients getting injections are my age or older...I was surprised by that for some reason, I guess my ignorance on the subject.
