Never Back Down

Saw this tonight (well, last night now I guess), and although I didn't have too high expectations, I was pleasantly surprised. Thought it was a great film - one of the best I've seen in recent months, and I'm a regular cinema-goer.

Solid storyline, awesome soundtrack (recognised about 4 of the songs in the movie) and some solid fight scenes. Highly recommended for the teenage viewer.

yeah, I saw it on Friday and enjoyed it.

It had all the cliches and was predictable but it was done very well

The blonde girl was very fit too which always helps........

We might go see this tomorrow. It looks a bit cheesy, but a bit of popcorn-cinema is good every now and then. Is it essentially just a rehash of The Karate Kid-ish story?

Got dragged along to this tonight and I have to admit, it was very very cheesy indeed...

That said I did like the fact that it didn't take itself seriously and was very open about stealing from other films. Best line of the film has to be the little kid asking the blonde if she wanted to wrestle. Oh how we’d all like to wrestle her.

Also, was it just me or did the main kiddie really really look like a tall young Tom Cruise?

My personal favourite was (upon seeing how beautiful she is) "Whatever she did... forgive her."

And yeah, I see where you're coming from with the Tom Cruise likeness.
