Neuro update!

Hey there well i finally got my referral to the Neuro at the University, guess what? It's not until Septeraber and i was at the Dr.s yesterday and told my Dr. about this and said i do not want to wait this long i have been waiting almost three years ugh. Anyways she is sending me to a local dr. here to get an consult but told me to keep the other one for sure, so i wait again! And to boot i had to walk down three flights of steps yesterday as the elavator was broken ugh!

Geez, I thought a 2 month wait was bad to see a doctor, but 6 months??? That's absurd. Did you ask for a referral to a different Neuro? Is that the kind they referred instead? Or did they give you a GP referral?

I know I had to wait over 2 months to see someone with one bout of severe sciatica, then it was another month before i had an injection. Then the last time I had a problem, called that place and couldnt get in again for 2 months. I was like, forget that, that's ridiculous. So I called an old doc's office (whom I dont even like), they did get me in the following week with a new doc in the firm. And If I couldnt see anyone there, I already had my phone book out b/c I was going to call every PM I could find until I could get in earlier. It's all so frustrating.
 
Baybreeze it is aweful but yes i have two local hospitals that have Neuros and i already went to the one so they are sending me to the other for a NEuro consult, like i said i told my GP that i have waited almost three years i am tired of waiting for it to get any worse than it is! pepper, believe it! I wasn't really that shocked but yet was. I don't understand why the one Neuro brushed me off in the first place, i believe it is his job to figure something out even if he doesn't think the patient could possibly be suffering because he deals with nerves and so on. Unless it is all because of the extra vertabea than i could completely understand as that would be something that he wouldn't treat but to see me once and make assumptions on that is absurd!
